Genuine Henry Power Indicator LED Light – Bypass PCB Modification

This LED power indicator is commonly used in Numatic vacuum cleaners, such as Henry, Hetty, and James, to show that power is connected from the mains.

Numatic part number 208885

Although it's rare for these components to fail, they’re a valuable addition when bypassing the Printed Circuit Board (PCB). The PCB module is a known issue in Henry vacuums with a hi/low power function. While replacing the module can be costly, it is possible to bypass it, keeping your Henry permanently on high power. In this case, the hi/low switch becomes unnecessary, and this LED is an ideal replacement to display the mains power and seamlessly fill the gap.

How to Use the Henry LED When Bypassing the Circuit Board

  1. First, unplug the vacuum from the mains.
  2. Remove the faulty PCB, and connect the two white motor wires directly to the outer terminals of the power switch.
  3. You can then remove the hi/low switch and replace it with this LED.
  4. Connect the LED to the blue and brown mains wires.
  5. Using the existing wires from the PCB, attach the LED to the central pins of the power switch.

When powered on, the LED will light up to indicate mains power, which is standard in Numatic’s newer models.
